DESCRIPTION:Last year Mercy Care asked for input from Volunteers on the topics of interest for in-service programs. The most requested was an informational session on health insurance\, navigating the system and finding the correct plan or guidance for themselves and the Elders they serve. \nAn in-service program and luncheon on Health Insurance will be held on May 10th\, 2023\, from 11 am – 1 pm at Mount Pisgah Lodge in Saranac Lake. Featuring a presentation by Sarah Weilacher\, Coordinator of Services for the Aging\, and Devon Caban\, Case Manager from Franklin County Office for the Aging. In Franklin County\, the Office for the Aging takes the lead in coordinating and supporting HIICAP counselors. Sarah Weilacher is the Coordinator of the HICAP program. Mercy Care will be providing a catered lunch. There is no cost to attend this program\, but registration is required.
