Mercy Care Garden Planting Day
/in Mercy Care EventsLake Placid— On June 4, 2025 Mercy Care Volunteers and Volunteers from St. Joseph’s, spent the afternoon preparing the Mercy Care Destination Garden at the Lake Placid Community Garden. We planted some of the vegetables and cutting flowers that will be available for garden visitors to harvest/cut to take home throughout the growing season. With support from a LEAF grant we’ve added a table with shade umbrella, benches for resting and reflecting at both ends of the garden, created a pathway to make the garden more accessible and we hope you will come often!
Gardening provides many benefits and remains available to us as we age. The Mercy Care Destination Garden at the Lake Placid Community Garden is open to all Mercy Care Volunteers and Elder Friends as well as any older adult in the community.
We look forward to meeting you in the garden!
